Job summary

The Panther Group in Sterling Heights, MI, is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer – C++ for a 100% onsite role. You will develop software across the full lifecycle for a next-generation ground combat vehicle program, working with systems engineering and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years of embedded software experience, with strong C++ and DOS skills, plus experience with VxWorks, Linux, RTOS, BSPs, and middleware such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or CS field.
• 10+ years of professional embedded software experience preferred.
• Strong C++ proficiency and DOS experience required.
• Experience with embedded OS such as VxWorks, Linux or RTOS.
• Experience with BSPs, virtualization, and serial/network protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop software requirements, design documentation, and application code.
• Perform software requirements analysis and preliminary/detail design.
• Develop embedded software using established engineering standards and procedures.
• Develop and execute unit and functional test procedures.
• Perform hardware/software integration and troubleshoot software issues.
• Support software releases involving multiple developers.
• Develop software across areas such as board support, cybersecurity, displays, and system downloading.
• Interface with Systems Engineering, Software Quality, and other technical teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Provide development status updates to project leadership.
