Job summary

The Panther Group is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer for a defense program in Sterling Heights, MI. You will design, develop, and integrate embedded software for fire control and vehicle systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust performance.

Responsibilities include requirements analysis, architecture design, and hardware/software integration, with Agile/Scrum leadership and hands-on testing in a heavily NDA-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must have Fire Control experience.
• 7+ years of related software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible.
• 100% onsite in Sterling Heights, MI
• 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, and debug embedded software.
• Perform software requirements analysis and develop software architecture and design documentation.
• Develop software for vehicle systems including fire control, displays, power management, diagnostics, software deployment, and embedded training.
• Develop unit and functional test procedures and perform hardware/software integration.
• Integrate software releases across multiple software components.
• Troubleshoot software issues throughout development and testing.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Project Management, Software Quality, and other technical teams.
• Lead Agile/Scrum activities including daily standups, PI Planning, retrospectives, and demonstrations.
