ARi, headquartered in East Peoria, IL, USA, is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software systems. You will apply strong C/C++ skills, MATLAB/Simulink, and expertise in embedded development processes to deliver robust solutions.

The role covers design, validation, and integration across multi-disciplinary teams, with emphasis on code quality, testing, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong C/C++ skills and MATLAB/Simulink proficiency.
• Experience with CAN/J1939 communication protocols.
• Experience in unit testing (CTest/GTest) and version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded software in C/C++.
• Develop and maintain unit test frameworks and test code.
• Create, simulate, and validate control algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink.
• Translate requirements into software design and implementation.
• Perform software integration, debugging, and targeting on hardware.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and diagnostics.
• Conduct unit/integration/system testing and ensure quality.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Validation, and Product teams.
