Job summary
Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop and integrate embedded software for next-generation military aircraft platforms. You will contribute to mission-critical avionics and collaborate with cross-functional teams across sites to ensure rigorous verification and validation.
The role requires extensive C++ development for safety-critical systems, experience with RTOS (MOSA.ic, VxWorks, Integrity), MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, and a willingness to work
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a STEM discipline.
- 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
- C++ development for safety-critical avionics systems.
- Real-Time Operating Systems (MOSA.ic, VxWorks, Integrity).
- Embedded application development using RTOS and Windows environments.
- Experience with MIL-STD-1553 & Ethernet communications.
- Software integration & test in lab and hardware environments.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Ability to work onsite 100%.
- Ability to travel 10%.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate embedded software for military aircraft platforms.
