Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Wisconsin seeks a senior embedded software engineer with 8+ years in automotive safety-critical programs. You will lead design and coding, coordinate reviews, and drive integration across application, low-level, and third-party software.

The role requires experience with high-voltage EV/HEV or Micro Hybrid systems, Matlab/Simulink/TargetLink, AUTOSAR, and V-Model; strong English communication; ability to mentor peers and negotiate timing with customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of embedded software development in automotive or safety-critical domains.
• Experience with high voltage EV/HEV or low voltage Micro Hybrid systems.
• Matlab, Simulink, and TargetLink are mandatory.
• AUTOSAR architecture and Software V-Model/ASPICE familiarity.
• Proficient in Python and CAPL is desirable.
• Ability to negotiate timing and software content with customers.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership for detailed design and coding of embedded software modules.
• Lead and participate in software design and code reviews.
• Integration of software modules including application, low-level, and third-party software.
• Consulting and coaching of peers.
• Test software functions, components, and features/applications.
• Release of completed work products.
• Managing work through Configuration Management and Issue Tracking tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system hardware or control algorithms.
• Support creation and review of Software Requirement Specifications.
• Direct and lead less experienced engineers in the above tasks.
