Impinj, a leading RFID and IoT company in the US, seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to design, develop, and maintain software on ARM devices and microcontrollers for our next-generation RFID readers.

You will own hardware bring-up, develop drivers, work with cross-functional teams, optimize for performance and power, and mentor juniors while documenting architecture and code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of progressive software development experience with embedded solutions.
• Strong C and modern C++ for embedded systems; Python proficiency.
• Experience with Embedded Linux, bootloaders, and device trees.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software on ARM 64/32 bit processors and microcontrollers.
• Own hardware bring-up, drivers, peripherals, and board-level diagnostics.
• Contribute to architecture reviews and ensure code quality and scalability.
• Optimize for performance, memory, and power in constrained environments.
• Write documentation and perform unit testing; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive process improvements.
