Job summary

Impinj is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer specializing in IoT and embedded applications to join our Solutions Software organization and Developer Infrastructure team. You will design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and tools enabling engineering teams to deliver high-quality products quickly and efficiently.

You will work with software, innovation, and silicon teams to ensure seamless deployment, drive DevOps practices, and mentor other engineers while staying current with industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in DevOps, software or systems engineering.
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Proficient scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Experience with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Monitoring/logging: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
• Experience with GitHub and Artifactory deployments.
• IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation.
• VMware ESXi / vSphere knowledge.
• Networking & security best practices.
• HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.
• Collaborative coding, code reviews, and pair programming.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Enterprise.
• Manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform (IaC).
• Administer JFrog Artifactory for artifacts & dependencies.
• Implement Ansible for config management & automation.
• Develop monitoring/alerts with Datadog.
• Write automation scripts in Python.
• Collaborate with dev teams to streamline deployments and releases.
• Monitor performance, reliability, security, and compliance across environments.
• Mentor and guide other DevOps engineers.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends to drive improvement.
