Job summary

TalentHammer is seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, verify, and deploy complex software for spaceborne products. You will work on SoC devices, interfaces with ARM Cortex-based environments, and evaluate IP vs internal development in a fast-paced aerospace setting.

You will leverage Python, C, and embedded Linux to implement robust networking over UDP/IP, while collaborating with senior engineers and using Vivado/Vitis tools for AMD/Xilinx devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science is required.
• Expertise in embedded software design for ARM Cortex or similar systems.
• Proficiency in Python and C.
• Experience with embedded Linux development and UDP/IP networking.
• Experience with AMD/Xilinx devices and tools, including Vivado and Vitis.
• Strong Windows and Excel skills and solid communication abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and verify embedded software and related digital designs in SoC devices.
• Interface with senior engineers to implement communication protocols and data handling in an embedded ARM Cortex environment.
• Perform trade studies for third-party IP vs internal development.
• Develop embedded architecture and decide function placement between processor and programmable logic.
• Develop interfaces between embedded processor and programmable logic domains.
• Maintain code base in version control.
• Develop test fixtures to verify code and system functionality.
• Perform bench-level verification and support testing of the overall product.
