Job summary

Lucid Motors in Michigan is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to implement software for autonomous-driving compute platforms, including sensor drivers, middleware, diagnostics, perception, planning, and control.

You will optimize performance, safety, and security, integrate and test software, and deliver Classic AUTOSAR across MCAL, BSW, RTE, and applications while collaborating in an agile team to bring ADAS features to life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong C programming skills in an embedded context.
• Experience with real-time operating systems, microcontrollers, and standard peripheral components.
• Developing and delivering AUTOSAR-compliant software for embedded devices.
• Proficiency with Classic AUTOSAR stack and configuration tools (EB Tresos, DaVinci).
• Experience with Aurix or other advanced MCUs and automotive diagnostics (UDS/DoIP).
• Ideally 5+ years of experience.
• Preferred board bring-up, debugging with Lauterbach/iSystem, and CAN/CAN-FD/Ethernet/LIN knowledge.
• Familiarity with MISRA C/C++, ISO 26262, and ASPICE concepts.

• Experience with Aurix or other advanced microcontrollers and automotive diagnostics such as UDS and DoIP.
• Ideally 5+ years of work experience.
• Preferred experience with board bring-up, schematics and data sheets, and low-level embedded debugging using Lauterbach or iSystem.
• Preferred knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet, and LIN vehicle communication networks.
• Preferred experience with scripting tools and methods for optimizing software development and testing.
• Preferred experience with unit, HIL, and SIL testing.
• Preferred knowledge of functional safety, ISO 26262, MISRA C/C++, automotive SPICE, and ASPICE.
