LER TechForce, LLC. is seeking a Software Design Engineer in Auburn Hills to lead embedded software architecture and design efforts for automotive instrument clusters and head-up displays.

The role requires hands-on development, architecture decisions, and coordination with engineering teams. You will drive MISRA-C compliance, guide junior engineers, and evaluate third-party components while delivering robust software under established processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 7+ years of experience, or Master's with 5+ years.
• Experience in embedded programming, controls, and embedded system design.
• Ability to architect complete embedded software design.
• Knowledge of real-time operating systems.
• Experience with 32-bit microcontrollers; MISRA-C standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis of internal design specs for feasibility, completeness, and correctness.
• Lead development of overall software architecture and interfaces.
• Write, debug, and test embedded software for automotive instrument cluster and HUD systems.
• Ensure MISRA compliance and perform QAC checks.
• Mentor and guide other engineers and review peers' work.
