Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks an Expert Software Engineer for the automotive embedded IPC team in Southfield, MI. The role focuses on end-to-end development from requirements to design, implementation, testing, and integration across multiple functional domains.

You’ll work independently on complex modules and collaborate with systems, hardware, and validation teams to deliver production-grade software for next-generation vehicle platforms.

Qualifications

• >10 years of embedded C/C++ in automotive systems.
• >Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols CAN, LIN, UDS.
• >Experience with embedded real-time systems and RTOS.
• >Ability to understand hardware schematics and MCU peripherals.
• >Experience with ASPICE, MISRA, ISO 26262 (ASIL-B or higher preferred).

Responsibilities

• Independently analyze and interpret software requirements to define robust software designs.
• Develop and implement embedded software for IPC features (graphs, tell-tales, indicators).
• Support vehicle communications (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and diagnostics (UDS/OBD).
• Handle bootloader, flashing, board bring-up, and power management.
• Collaborate across HMI, bootloader, stacks, and diagnostics; participate in reviews and testing.
