Job summary

Optimum is seeking a Sr Product Security Engineer focused on embedded systems for video, broadband, and Wi-Fi devices at a Fortune 500 scale. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement secure-by-design practices and drive threat modeling across the lifecycle.

You will help shape secure architecture, SBOM management, and coordinated vulnerability disclosure while mentoring others and guiding security strategy for next-gen devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering and security for embedded devices.
• Experience in embedded systems security, threat modeling, risk assessment, and secure software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed security throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments early in development.
• Perform security testing and reviews to identify weaknesses.
• Lead security automation from development to cloud and data center environments.
• Mentor teams and promote a security-first culture.
