Ultra ProLogic in Tampa, FL is seeking a Mid-Level Embedded Software Engineer (Clearance Required) to design, implement, and certify high-assurance cryptographic systems used by the DoD and allied partners. You will work in C and Rust on security-critical firmware and contribute to NSA High Assurance artifacts.

This role emphasizes secure embedded design, Rust adoption in constrained environments, and collaboration with systems, hardware, and test teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of embedded software development in C and/or Rust.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software in C and Rust for cryptographic platforms.
• Architect cryptographic information assurance software with defined security boundaries.
• Perform memory-safe designs and C-to-Rust transitions.
• Support NSA High Assurance certification through requirements traceability and artifacts.
• Develop SHRS/ICDs/SHDDs and conduct unit/integration testing.
