Job summary

Bose Corporation is seeking a Security Engineer to advance product security across the Audio Technology portfolio. You will embed security throughout the SDLC, from concept to release, and help protect Bose’s IP in a fast-paced agile environment.

Responsibilities include securing boot, encryption, signing, and anti-tamper controls on embedded firmware, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and driving security assessments and audits.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering licensed software on customer devices with untrusted environments.
• Hands-on firmware protection: secure boot, encryption, signing and distribution.
• Experience with embedded security and anti-tamper controls.
• Embedded Linux development in C/C++ on real-time systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent; master’s is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement protections for IP and anti-tamper controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across firmware, cloud, and manufacturing.
• Design secure product architectures and enforce data confidentiality and integrity.
• Lead security assessments and drive vulnerability responses.
• Implement secure update, signing, and integrity verification for embedded software.
