RTX BBN Technologies in Middletown, RI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for real-time embedded C development. You will design, develop, test, and optimize high-performance software on multi-threaded platforms, interfacing with hardware and custom sensors.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to performance optimization and technology maturation while traveling up to 15% and supporting DoD projects in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years experience, or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years, or 9 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance required on day one.
• Experience in at least two: Embedded C/C++ software; High Performance computer systems; Embedded real-time sensors and control apps; Software architecture design and implementation.
• Experience using embedded RTOS (e.g., Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, Linux).
• Experience integrating hardware, firmware and software in complex systems.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement high performance embedded real-time software for heterogeneous systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and test contributions.
• Integrate components into larger systems for real-world testing and deployment.
• Mentor less experienced staff and support design reviews.
• Contribute to proposals and design reviews.
• Travel up to 15%.
