SPAN is seeking a Staff Engineer for their Device Software team in San Francisco. This role involves the design and implementation of control algorithms and functional safety architecture for the SPAN Panel, a critical component in home energy systems.

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in developing embedded software, deep knowledge of electrical power systems, and exceptional communication skills. Join a mission-driven team focused on sustainability and innovation!

Formación

• Deep knowledge of electrical power systems.
• Experience designing real-time control algorithms.
• Hands-on functional safety process experience with UL standards.
• Proficiency in C++ or object-oriented C on microcontrollers.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Own the design of control algorithms and functional safety architecture.
• Drive safety-critical features from conception through implementation.
• Develop fault injection frameworks for testing safety mechanisms.
