Job summary

SPAN is seeking a Staff Engineer for their Device Software team in San Francisco. This role involves the design and implementation of control algorithms and functional safety architecture for the SPAN Panel, a critical component in home energy systems.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of electrical power systems.
• Experience designing real-time control algorithms.
• Hands-on functional safety process experience with UL standards.
• Proficiency in C++ or object-oriented C on microcontrollers.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of control algorithms and functional safety architecture.
