Job summary

Stafl Systems in California seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design and deliver embedded software for BMS and powertrain systems. You will influence architecture, own subsystems, and ensure safety and reliability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in design reviews, and write high-quality Modern C++ code while supporting ISO 26262/IEC 61508 compliance. On-site with hybrid flexibility, the role offers a competitive package and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Experience defining software architecture using object-oriented principles.
• Deep understanding of embedded C++ toolchains and RTOS.
• Experience leading technical efforts or serving as subsystem owner.
• Ability to interface with customers for integration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design embedded software for BMS and powertrain from HAL to application layers.
• Contribute to software architecture, module boundaries, and interfaces.
• Participate in design reviews and subsystem validation.
• Write and review Modern C++ production code.
• Support HIL validation and subsystem testing.
• Interface with customers for integration and trade-offs.
• Contribute to functional safety activities (ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
