Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Technical Specialist to lead the development and integration of embedded software for On-Board Charging Module (OBCM) systems in Milford, MI. You will drive software and controls from concept through production release, collaborating with software architects, HWIO teams, and suppliers to ensure robust, automotive-grade solutions.

Qualifications

Experience taking embedded software from requirements through implementation, validation, and production release.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and integration of OBCM embedded software and controls across the product lifecycle.
Define interfaces, verification methods, and production acceptance criteria for OBCM functions.
Develop control strategies for AC/DC power-factor correction and DC/DC conversion.
Provide technical direction for control-loop design, PWM, protection, and diagnostics.
Review architecture and ensure safe, maintainable, testable, production-ready solutions.
Collaborate with software, HWIO, safety, validation, calibration, and supplier teams to resolve integration issues.
Lead verification across SIL, HIL, bench, dyno, and vehicle environments with automated testing.
