Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking Senior Missions Systems Software Engineers – Embedded in Berkeley, MO, to join our Mission Systems Software team. You will design, develop, and test embedded flight software in an agile CI/CD environment with security clearance considerations.

Ideal candidates have 9+ years in software, strong C/C++/Python/Java skills, and experience across the full software lifecycle, including hardware integration and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ability to acquire a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (Post-Start)
• 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• 5+ years of experience with full life-cycle software development, modeling, simulation, testing, and/or analysis using C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, and/or Linux

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software for embedded devices and systems to meet standards
• Translate customer requirements into software designs for embedded systems
• Write code for embedded software on specific hardware
• Integrate software with hardware components
• Improve efficiency and stability of embedded software systems
• Test and debug software for embedded devices and systems
• Adopt current technologies, tools, and regulations in software development
• Advise on software and hardware integration domains
• Track and evaluate software team performance to ensure compliance
• Perform embedded software project management functions
