Job summary

The Boeing Company in Berkeley, Missouri, seeks an Associate Missions Systems Software Engineer – Embedded to join the Mission Systems Software team. You will contribute across the software lifecycle for safety-critical flight software in an Agile environment, using CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with software, hardware, and test engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; relocation may be offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ability to acquire a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (Post-Start)
• 2+ years of related work experience
• 2+ years of experience programming with Go, Java, C/C++, Rust, or Python
• Experience in systems integration with systems engineering processes
• Strong verbal and written skills, teaming skills, technical skills, and integration skills

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, debugs and maintains software for embedded devices and systems
• Translates customer requirements into software designs for embedded systems
• Builds and writes code for embedded software to run on specialized hardware
• Integrates embedded software with hardware components
• Analyzes, monitors and improves the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems
• Tests and debugs software for embedded devices and systems
• Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes
• Advises on software and hardware integration domains
• Tracks and evaluates internal and supplier software team performance
• Performs embedded software project management functions
