Job summary

Lumicity is seeking an Embedded Linux Software Engineer to build the embedded Linux platform and flight software for a well-funded space startup. You will own end-to-end development, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of software interfacing with hardware.

Responsibilities include developing kernel drivers, device tree configurations, OTA update workflows, and robust fault-tolerant software. ITAR applies; US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded Linux development experience.
• Strong C programming skills for embedded targets.
• Expertise with ARM-based microcontrollers, kernel, drivers, and device trees.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, and improve embedded Linux software for flight systems.
• Own end-to-end software development for the platform hardware interface.
• Support OTA update mechanisms and diagnose failures in production.
