Job summary

Lumicity is partnering with a fast-growing aerospace company to develop mission-critical satellite and sensing technologies. We are seeking a Flight Software Engineer to design and implement embedded software for space systems with significant ownership and impact.

You'll work on C++, Python, or Rust across embedded Linux, hardware integration, and CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with hardware, electrical, and systems teams to deliver robust, testing-driven flight software for real-world missions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of embedded or flight software experience.
• Strong programming skills in C++, Python, or Rust.
• Experience with embedded Linux and hardware/software integration.
• Understanding of multithreading, memory management, and communication protocols.
• Experience debugging and testing embedded systems.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop flight software for satellite and embedded systems.
• Build reliable software using C++, Python, and/or Rust.
• Develop and optimize software on embedded Linux platforms.
• Work closely with hardware, electrical, and systems engineering teams.
• Support hardware integration, testing, debugging, and validation.
• Develop automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
