Job summary

Spectra Defense Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Linux Software Engineer to design and optimize Linux-based embedded software. This role involves working with the NXP i.MX95 processor family and contributing to high-reliability systems in sectors like aerospace and defense.

The successful candidate will develop and customize Linux BSPs, device drivers, and maintain robust applications in C/C++. Strong experience with embedded Linux on ARM architectures is essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of embedded Linux software development experience on ARM‑based SoCs.
• Significant hands‑on experience with NXP i.MX processors (i.MX8 or i.MX9 required).
• Experience working in regulated or high‑reliability environments (aerospace, defense, medical, automotive) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Linux Board Support Packages (BSPs).
• Design, implement, and maintain Linux device drivers.
• Debug hardware–software interactions using low‑level tools.
