Job summary

MatchPointe Group is seeking a Senior/Staff Embedded Software Engineer to develop and maintain embedded Linux platforms for next-generation wireless products in Milpitas, CA. This is a hands-on role collaborating with hardware, firmware, and software teams on complex embedded systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years (Senior) or 9+ years (Staff) in embedded C/C++, ARM-based systems, board bring-up, low-level debugging, and hardware/software integration, with strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Senior level requires 5+ years of embedded C/C++ development; Staff level requires 9+ years.
• Strong embedded Linux and RTOS experience is essential.
• Experience with ARM-based systems, board bring-up, and hardware/software integration.
• Comfort reading schematics and datasheets; strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux/RTOS platform software.
• Design, develop, integrate, and test new embedded software features.
• Work with hardware, firmware, and software engineers on system-level development.
• Perform board bring-up and troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues.
• Debug low-level system and platform issues using JTAG, scopes, and logic analyzers.
• Work with device drivers, bootloaders, kernel-level software, and embedded build environments.
• Read schematics and hardware docs to resolve issues.
• Develop scripts and automation using Python and Bash.
• Support testing, validation, and manufacturing-related activities.
