Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Principal Embedded Firmware and Software Engineer to lead design, development, and debugging of embedded firmware and software for computer systems. You will bridge software and hardware with system-level leadership, collaborating with hardware engineers, software developers, QA, and product managers to deliver high-quality products.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or advanced degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in embedded firmware, software, or systems software.
Strong fundamentals in software architecture and systems programming.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, development, security, integration, debugging, validation, and deployment of embedded firmware and software including BIOS/UEFI and drivers.
Define firmware requirements, interfaces, dependencies, and integration strategies with hardware.
Troubleshoot firmware issues and implement enhancements across subsystems.
Define and drive verification, validation, and CI/CD strategies for embedded development.
Develop tooling and automation using Python and other technologies for development, debugging, testing, and analysis.
