Job summary

Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to lead advanced embedded hardware development for rugged defense and aerospace applications. Design boards with Intel/ARM processors, FPGAs, DDR memory, and high-speed interfaces while providing thorough verification and validation.

You will own test plans, collaborate with hardware, firmware, and systems teams, and drive production release to ensure reliability and ruggedization in mission-critical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of electrical/embedded hardware design experience.
• Strong PC architecture and processor-based embedded systems knowledge.
• PCB design including schematic capture and routing.
• Experience with high-speed signaling and interface standards.
• Hardware bring-up, debugging, and verification against requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware design and development of rugged embedded boards.
• Design with Intel/ARM processors, DDR, FPGAs, MPSoCs, RFSoCs.
• Define verification plans and perform validation testing.
• Collaborate with FPGA, software, and systems teams.
• Drive production release and sustainment activities.
