Job summary

LRSolutions, LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to shape rugged embedded hardware for defense, aerospace, and industrial applications. You will lead design and bring-up of complex boards with Intel/ARM cores, FPGAs, and high-speed interfaces.

The role requires solving challenging hardware issues, validating designs, and coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring reliability of mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering or embedded hardware design.
• Strong PC architecture and processor-based embedded systems understanding.
• Demonstrated PCB design capability with schematic capture and routing.
• Strong high-speed PCB design considerations (diff, loss, crosstalk).
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and validation experience.
• Ability to create test/verification plans and verify hardware against requirements.
• Self-starting, independent problem-solver across the full product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and support advanced embedded hardware systems.
• Architect and design digital hardware with Intel and ARM processors, DDR memory, FPGAs, MPSoCs, RFSoCs.
• Implement high-speed interfaces: DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, multi-Gigabit Ethernet.
• Own complex hardware programs from architecture to production release.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, software, systems, and manufacturing teams.
