Job summary

Entrust is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Minnesota to design and bring up embedded hardware, including PWB/PWA layouts, firmware integration, and production support. The role focuses on card personalization and security hardware, with opportunities to influence architecture and manufacturing decisions.

The candidate will work on mixed-signal circuits, high-speed interfaces, and power systems, collaborating across engineering disciplines and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required.
• 5+ years of embedded hardware design experience with ownership on subsystems.
• Experience with mixed-signal design and high-speed interfaces.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and/or HDL (VHDL/Verilog).

Responsibilities

• Design, schematic capture, prototype, and support layout of MCU/MPU-based PWB/PWA from concept to production.
• Develop complex embedded systems with mixed-signal design and high-speed interfaces.
• Participate in architecture reviews and design tradeoffs for robust, manufacturable products.
• Develop firmware and/or FPGA designs.
• Lead board bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis to resolution.
• Create and execute test plans for hardware and software validation.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams.
