Software Placement Group is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer in Huntsville, AL to own complex embedded hardware programs, lead architecture decisions, and drive board bring-up through production release.

You will design SBCs, FPGA/DSP carrier boards, sensor processing modules, and high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR4/DDR5, multi-Gigabit Ethernet), collaborating with hardware, software, systems, and manufacturing teams to deliver rugged, mission-critical electronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in electrical engineering or embedded hardware design.
• Strong experience with digital circuit design for embedded systems.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, testing and debug.
• Experience with Intel/ARM processors and high-speed interfaces.

Responsabilités

• Design SBCs, FPGA/DSP carrier boards, sensor processing modules, and I/O products.
• Develop hardware using Intel and ARM processors, DDR4/DDR5, FPGAs, MPSoCs, and RFSoCs.
• Develop high-speed digital architectures including PCIe and multi-Gigabit Ethernet.
• Take ownership of complex hardware programs from architecture to release.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, software, systems, and manufacturing teams.
