Job summary

Reliable Robotics in Mountain View, CA seeks a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer to join the Embedded Systems team. You will develop low-level C/C++ flight software for the autonomy stack, emphasizing DO-178C processes, bare-metal initialization, networking, and memory interfaces.

This role also covers Python-based test development and CI infrastructure to streamline integration, testing, and deployment in a safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience developing C or C++.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience developing software for embedded, high-performance, or safety-critical applications.
• 12+ years of professional C/C++ experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop C/C++ flight software requirements, design, code, unit tests, and tests per DO-178C.
• Focus on bare-metal OS, hardware initialization, networking, protocol drivers, and memory interfaces.
• Develop Python-based software integration test cases.
• Develop and maintain CI infrastructure for automating software integration, build, testing, and deployment.
