Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. in Playa Vista, CA is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for its Flight Software team. You will develop low-level software for avionics, configure peripherals, and drive drivers for sensors and components across the satellite bus.

Collaborate with avionics, GNC, propulsion, and hardware teams to architect systems, prototype ideas, and deliver mission-critical code for flight. This role involves hands-on firmware and hardware integration in a fast-paced startup.

Qualifications

• 3+ years writing C/C++ for embedded systems
• Experience developing firmware for microcontrollers (bare-metal or RTOS)
• Experience writing low level device drivers (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, CAN)
• Ability to read schematics and perform hardware/software integration

Responsibilities

• Develop low level software to configure and drive processor peripherals
• Write and debug device drivers for sensors, actuators, and components
• Implement onboard algorithms including fault detection and recovery
• Write quick prototype code for bench testing and rigorous flight-grade code for manufacturing
