Job summary

Apex is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop avionics systems for satellite platforms at our Playa Vista, CA office. You will collaborate across software, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-performance hardware while meeting schedule and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in aerospace or satellite industry.
• Proficient in designing and developing avionics systems, electrical circuits, and subsystems.
• Experience with electrical design tools, such as Altium, LTSpice, and PCB design tools.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Electrical architecture and design, product requirements, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, and documentation.
• Flight production, development prototyping, vendor selection, and manufacturing.
• Circuit and full product bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting, and qualification testing.
• Deliver hardware on time and active project management through schedule maintenance and status reports.
• Integration, full vehicle integrated testing, and data review.
• Multidisciplinary coordination with software, firmware, mechanical, PCB layout, environments, integration, harnessing, test, manufacturing, and production teams to deliver a fully functional product.
• Drive improvements in reliability and capabilities while minimizing cost and schedule.
