Job summary

CHAOS Industries in Los Angeles (Hawthorne) seeks a Senior Guidance Software Engineer to lead the design of guidance software for a clean-sheet airframe. You will develop guidance algorithms and integrate software with flight hardware, working on-site with a small engineering team.

The role requires 10+ years of OO software experience, embedded development on STM32, and Linux on Nvidia Jetson/SoC. U.S. Person status is required for access to U.S.-only data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in CS/CE/Aerospace or related field.
• 10+ years of professional, object-oriented software development.
• Experience with guidance algorithms for UAS using ArduPilot.
• Strong embedded software on STM32 and Linux on Nvidia Jetson/AMD/Xilinx.
• Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles (Hawthorne).
• U.S. Person status is required to access U.S.-only data.

Responsibilities

• Implement guidance and navigation software within COTS frameworks.
• Support software integration with flight hardware.
• Work full-time on-site in our Los Angeles (Hawthorne) office.
• Collaborate within a small team and across product families.
