Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior embedded firmware leader to drive the design and optimization of firmware for hardware products. You will work with hardware teams, mentor engineers, and guide multiple projects through all development stages.

We value expertise in C/C++, RTOS, Linux, and Agile practices, and you will help ensure product quality by reviewing designs and documenting specifications while staying ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications

• Four-year or graduate degree in CS, IS, EE, or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of firmware development or related field.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of C and C++ programming.
• Experience with Linux, Git, and RTOS.
• Embedded software/firmware development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and optimization of embedded software and firmware.
• Identify and resolve software and firmware issues with timely solutions.
• Create and update design specifications and user guides.
• Mentor engineers and lead multiple project teams.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with hardware.
• Review designs for compliance with standards.
• Drive innovation and stay updated on emerging technologies.
