Qualifications

• Bachelor's in computer science, information systems, or related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence
• Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field
• 8+ years firmware development / architecture experience
• BIOS / UEFI / Embedded Systems
• Docking Station and Notebook PC architecture

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Monitor and test application performance, identify bottlenecks and solutions, and work with developers to implement fixes
• Optimize software systems for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency
• Gather system engineering requirements for infrastructure components with engineering groups and stakeholders
• Lead multiple project teams through design and development of complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration
• Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners
• Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards
• Provide domain‑specific expertise and software systems leadership to cross‑organization projects, programs, and activities
• Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less‑experienced staff members
• Provide guidance on developing validation execution plans for new technologies
