Job summary

WHOOP is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineering Program Manager to lead firmware development for new WHOOP devices. You will partner with Firmware, Hardware, Connectivity, Manufacturing, and WHOOPLabs teams to ensure timely delivery of firmware features that unlock new hardware.

You will report to the Director of Hardware Program Management and drive milestone planning, architecture readiness, and manufacturing readiness across multiple concurrent projects. This role is based in Boston, MA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience in firmware development.
• 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or related roles supporting embedded systems, firmware, or hardware product development.
• Experience leading complex embedded projects from concept through production release.

Responsibilities

• Own firmware program planning and execution across WHOOP's NPI portfolio.
• Develop and maintain integrated firmware schedules and roadmaps.
• Partner with Firmware Engineering Leadership to drive prioritization, capacity planning, and risk management.
• Drive firmware milestone planning including architecture readiness and launch activities.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Connectivity, Manufacturing, and WHOOP Labs teams to manage cross-functional dependencies.
• Facilitate cross-functional program reviews, status updates, and executive communications.
• Identify risks early and lead mitigation planning across engineering and operations.
• Support Proto/EVT/DVT/PVT, manufacturing bring-up, and launch readiness efforts.
• Establish scalable planning processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms.
