WHOOP is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer to join our Software Organization, bridging hardware and software to deliver low-power firmware across WHOO P devices. The role involves collaboration with hardware, signal processing, manufacturing, and product teams to support roadmaps and new product development.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of embedded firmware experience, strong C/C++ skills, and a track record mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities.
• Experience with electronics debugging tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test firmware in C for WHOOP's product line, focusing on low-power performance.
• Own complex firmware features, ensuring performance, power, and reliability.
• Debug across software, hardware, manufacturing, and integration domains.
• Define, write, and maintain technical requirements and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and standards.
• Design and improve firmware self-tests, validation tools, and CI workflows.
• Support electrical development by evaluating components and drivers.
• Mentor teammates on design, implementation, and debugging.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, power efficiency, and stability.
