Job summary

ClientMind Recruiting is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer for a growing communications technology company in Greenbelt, MD. You will develop high-performance firmware for microcontroller-based systems and provide technical leadership to the engineering team.

You’ll design embedded software, build drivers, and work across bare-metal and RTOS environments. Mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams are essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications

5+ years of embedded software development experience.
Proficiency with Git and embedded debugging tools.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Design and develop embedded firmware using C/C++.
Build low-level drivers, hardware abstraction layers, and communication interfaces.
Develop for bare-metal and RTOS environments.
Debug complex hardware and firmware issues using JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
Optimize performance, memory usage, power consumption, and system reliability.
Create and execute unit, integration, and system-level tests.
Collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
