Job summary

Enercon Technologies is seeking a Principal Embedded Firmware Engineer to lead and contribute to firmware and software for highly integrated embedded systems. You will guide development activities, quote work, and collaborate across teams to achieve robust designs.

Responsibilities include architecture, software specs, bring-up with hardware, and establishing QA tools, while mentoring engineers and advancing Enercon’s standards and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of embedded firmware development; 15+ preferred.
• Experience leading embedded software projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Design embedded software for products ranging from microcontrollers to complex systems.
• Serve as software lead on projects and direct team activities.
• Quote development work with Program Managers and plan schedules.
• Develop software design strategies balancing performance, cost, and resources.
• Create detailed software specifications and implement code accordingly.
• Assist bring-up of new hardware with hardware designers.
• Establish software verification testing tools and perform testing.
• Document designs, specs, and instructions to Enercon standards.
• Act as SME for software aspects of embedded systems design.
• Collaborate to improve department processes and tools.
• Mentor engineering staff to promote best practices.
