Bolt Graphics in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a talented firmware lead engineer to architect, develop, and bring up embedded firmware for advanced digital ICs. You will mentor engineers, review designs, and ensure high-quality firmware across all system components.

The ideal candidate combines deep embedded firmware expertise with leadership skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver robust firmware for GPU execution and system control.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of embedded firmware development in low-level microcontroller environments.
• Strong knowledge of interrupts, multi-threading, DMA, and memory management.
• Experience with device drivers and system bring-up on hardware interfaces.
• Proven leadership of complex firmware projects from concept to completion.
• Experience with PCIe, I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO and related peripherals and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Shape firmware for GPU execution, scheduling, context management, and system control.
• Work with architecture, RTL, verification, validation, and systems software to define interfaces.
• Develop and maintain embedded firmware, boot software, and drivers for high-speed silicon and subsystems.
• Lead root-cause analysis during lab bring-up, qualification, manufacturing, and field returns.
• Mentor engineers through reviews and debugging.
• Collaborate with cross-Geo teams to drive program execution and deliver products.
