Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Lead for the Santa Clara/Austin footprint. You will drive and deliver modular, high-quality firmware for AMD EPYC servers, DC GPU products, and AI racks, collaborating with architecture, QA, silicon validation, and customer-facing teams.

You will mentor engineers, shape CI and development processes, and advance product features across complex multi-site programs in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on embedded firmware engineering experience.
• Experience leading a core engineering team and guiding architectural decisions.
• Strong collaboration and communication across hardware, software, and customer teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded firmware development and QA for AMD EPYC Server and DC GPU products.
• Own program outcomes across architecture, design, development, and debugging of firmware.
• Partner with Platform and SW Architecture teams for BIOS and firmware bring-up during Embedded SoC bring-up.
• Work with HW and Silicon Validation to verify embedded features in silicon IP.
• Guide software engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and licensing reviews for open-source and closed-source code.
• Provide product and technology feedback to Enterprise Product Management and AMD teams.
• Support field requests and escalations from Customer Applications Engineering.
