Insight Global is seeking an Embedded / Firmware Engineer to execute within the XR/AR space for a high level enterprise portfolio. You will develop software modules within the charging-case package, fix defects, and profile firmware to optimize memory, latency, and power.

The role requires hands-on MCU profiling, lab debugging, and tooling for trace measurements, with a focus on efficient, robust firmware. The position offers a competitive rate ($75–$80/hour) dependent on skillset and

Qualificações

5–8 years of embedded firmware development on microcontroller targets.
Hands-on MCU profiling and optimization for memory, latency and power.
Lab debugging with JTAG/SWD, oscilloscope and logic analyzer.
Experience in existing firmware codebases and code reviews.
Consumer wearables or accessory firmware experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

Develop software modules within the charging-case package against client-provided base code.
Perform defect fixing and code review within the charging-case package.
Profile firmware for memory footprint at the MCU level.
Optimize processing latency and power consumption.
Analyze MCU systems and conduct headroom analysis.
Build tooling to trace measurements and regressions efficiently.
