Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded software or firmware development with physical products.
• Strong C/C++ with knowledge of microcontrollers and real-time behavior.
• Experience reading schematics and debugging at the hardware/software boundary.
• Experience owning firmware subsystems from development to release.
• Able to work in a small, multidisciplinary engineering team with evolving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own embedded software development from requirements and architecture through implementation, integration, testing and release.
• Develop reliable C/C++ firmware for microcontrollers using bare-metal and/or RTOS environments.
• Work alongside electronics, mechanical and controls engineers on hardware bring-up and system integration.
• Develop and debug device drivers, communication interfaces and functionality supporting sensors, actuators or other connected hardware.
• Investigate timing, performance and reliability issues using lab equipment and embedded debugging tools.
• Build practical testing and validation approaches that support repeatable releases and reliable operation in the field.
• Contribute to technical decisions, code reviews and mentoring while remaining hands-on.
