Job summary

Fortune Personnel Consultants of Troy (FPC-Troy) is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer for the Greater Boulder, CO area. You will develop embedded firmware, bring-up boards, and integrate sensors and telemetry in a hands-on role close to hardware.

We target 6–10+ years of embedded experience, strong C/C++, RTOS, and high‑reliability environments. Travel up to 25% may be required. Eligible for DoD clearance is noted as a consideration.

Qualifications

6–10+ years in embedded firmware/software.
Strong C/C++ in microcontroller environments.
Experience with RTOS and real-time constraints.
Hands-on board bring-up and hardware debugging.
Low-level firmware: drivers, HAL/BSP.
Troubleshooting across hardware/firmware boundary.
Experience in high-reliability or safety-critical settings.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain embedded firmware for resource-constrained systems.
Work extensively in C/C++ across firmware stack.
Support board and device bring-up and hardware/software integration.
Develop and maintain drivers, HAL/BSP functionality and low-level interfaces.
Troubleshoot firmware and electronics with lab/debug tools.
Integrate sensors, actuators, telemetry and onboard electronics.
Mentor less-experienced engineers while remaining hands-on.
