Job summary

Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to develop firmware for next-generation autonomous undersea systems and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).

The role emphasizes bare-metal C, ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers, electrical engineering interfaces, and embedded system verification, with a DoD Secret security clearance required at time of hire and U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 6+ years.
• Experience designing and implementing bare-metal embedded firmware in C.
• Experience developing firmware for ARM Cortex-M or other microcontroller architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and test bare-metal firmware in C for ARM Cortex-M and other microcontrollers.
• Develop low-level drivers and interfaces for embedded peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, ADC, PWM, timers).
• Apply electrical engineering principles to development and testing of components and systems.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and product teams to translate requirements into firmware solutions.
• Profile and optimize firmware for performance, power, memory and constraints.
