Piper Companies is seeking an Embedded Firmware Design Engineer to join a leading telecommunications technology company onsite 5 days per week in Morrisville, NC. The role develops low-level embedded software and firmware for networking products while partnering with hardware teams on board bring-up and system integration.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years of embedded experience, strong C/C++ skills, Linux/RTOS exposure, and a U.S. Secret Clearance eligibility.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of embedded firmware or software development experience.
- Eligible to work in the United States and obtain/maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
- Strong experience with C/C++ programming in embedded environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware for telecommunications products.
- Design and implement device drivers and BSPs (low-level software).
- Support board bring-up, hardware validation, and system integration.
- Debug firmware and hardware interactions with lab tools.
- Develop software for Linux and RTOS-based embedded systems.
- Troubleshoot firmware issues across development and production.
