Job summary

Crestron Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Technical Lead Firmware Engineer to provide deep hands-on leadership in embedded firmware development.

You will own technical direction, design, debugging, and release readiness for firmware initiatives, while coordinating across firmware, hardware, software, QA, DevOps, manufacturing, product, and vendor teams. The role requires strong C/C++ embedding skills, experience with Embedded Linux/RTOS, and a track record of mentoring engineers to raise execution

Qualifications

• Embedded firmware development and debugging across product lifecycles.
• Strong C/C++ programming across embedded platforms.
• Experience with Embedded Linux/RTOS, BSPs, bootloaders, and drivers.
• System-level debugging and hardware/software integration.
• Technical leadership of firmware features from concept to release.
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive cross-functional decisions.

Responsibilities

• Drive firmware architecture and technical direction for complex workstreams.
• Lead hands-on development, integration, debugging, and hardening of firmware features and drivers.
• Diagnose and resolve cross‑domain issues across firmware, hardware, OS, and networking.
• Provide code reviews, debugging guidance, and engineering standards alignment.
• Translate requirements into execution plans, milestones, and ownership across teams.
• Define validation strategy, release criteria, and regression coverage.
