Job summary

Crestron Electronics, Inc. seeks an Android video expert to lead firmware development for embedded Android/Linux video platforms. You will own video architecture, codec integration, and end-to-end validation, coordinating with firmware, BSP, camera, display, hardware, and QA teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, debugging, performance tuning, and production readiness for real-time conferencing, streaming, and capture workflows.

Qualifications

• Embedded Android/Linux multimedia software development and debugging with strong C/C++ expertise.
• Android video architecture, Codec2, AIDL/HIDL concepts, media codec configuration and hardware video codec integration.
• Hardware video encode/decode bring-up and debugging with low-latency paths and multi-instance concurrency.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on video platform integration across Android multimedia framework and video components.
• Drive root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and production hardening for complex video issues.
• Provide architectural direction for multimedia stack, secure and non-secure video paths, and low-latency streaming.
