Job summary
Det-Tronics, a global technology leader in industrial life safety solutions, seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Minneapolis to own firmware architecture for new and sustaining products. You will drive design, implementation, and testing across the full lifecycle, collaborating with hardware engineers and product owners in an Agile environment.
Applicants should have 5+ years of embedded firmware development in C/C++, RTOS experience, and a Bachelor's in a related field.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5+ years embedded software/firmware with C/C++.
- 2+ years RTOS experience.
Responsibilities
- Translate concepts into robust firmware architectures.
- Document requirements for regulated products for traceability.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on hardware/firmware integration strategies.
- Work with Product Owners using Agile practices to maintain alignment.
- Lead technical reviews and ensure coding standards.
- Ensure code is documented and rigorously tested.
- Perform unit testing with debug tools (IDEs, emulators, analyzers).
- Develop work plans and estimates for projects.
- Contribute to product roadmap planning and risk mitigation.
