Job summary

Vero Biotech in Atlanta, GA seeks a Senior Firmware/Algorithm Developer to lead development of dosing algorithms and characterization models for the GENOSYL inhaled nitric oxide delivery platform. You will develop, simulate, test, and mature algorithms in Python, then translate designs into production-quality C/C++ firmware.

You will collaborate across controls, systems, firmware, electrical, mechanical engineering, verification, quality, and regulatory teams to define interfaces and resolve

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred).
• 6+ years of professional experience in algorithms, controls, embedded firmware or real-time hardware.
• Strong Python development with scientific computing and data analysis; experience with NumPy/SciPy/pandas preferred.
• Strong C/C++ embedded firmware experience; ability to convert prototype models into production code.

Responsibilities

• Develop open and closed-loop dose delivery algorithms in Python using sensor and test data.
• Translate mature Python algorithms into maintainable C/C++ firmware for embedded platforms.
• Interface with firmware boards and hardware; diagnose sensors, actuators, timing, and control behavior; lead root-cause investigations.
• Create and maintain requirements, architecture/design docs, test protocols, and traceability.
